Expert Facilitators - Bios

 

Robert Castelo: Robert has a quarter of a century experience as a programmer and web architect. He was one of the founders of the Drupal open source community in the UK and has engineered large scale systems for major financial institutions including Worldpay and Sage Pay. He is a regular teacher, coach, mentor, and consultant for organisations implementing open source solutions.

Recently he has become active in the Cardano project which is building an advanced version of a globally, decentralised financial platform using cryptography and blockchain, with a major emphasis on interoperability with other blockchains and legacy fintech services.

 

Christian Ahlert: Christian is technology entrepreneur and catalyst. He has been part of the founding team of several start ups using machine learning to solve real world problems. He ran the first p2p finance innovation programme for the UK’s National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts (NESTA) following the financial crises in 2009 to identify disruptive technologies able to transform the finance sector.

He also runs the UK’s largest tech start up community ‘MiniBar’ with 9,000 members and organized his first bitcoin and crypto event as far back as 2011 (but declined to buy any bitcoin back then when it cost around 1 USD).

: Ismael, is the Editor in Chief of the world’s foremost publication on Initial Coin Offerings — ICOcrowd, has over 20 years experience in technology related startups and entrepreneurship, and is among the leading experts in the blockchain field.

In fact, Ismail has been recognized as part of the top-100 most influential people in blockchain by rise.global. Ismail is also the founder and CEO of Blockchain Lab, ‘supplychain on blockchains consultant’ for Chainx, crafts smart contracts on the blockchain for SmartLedger. He has a wide range of skills & expertise relating to blockchain & crypto, and regularly speaks at blockchain events.
